Threat Shield V4.0.
This release contains the enhancements and fixes listed below.
License and update
services moved
The licensing and updating services have both been moved to
a different server.
Applications
blocked at startup
Applications or modules that are marked for execution termination, will actually be completely blocked rather than terminated after running.
User interface improvement in the installation and in the management applications.
Improvement in the way ETS works, within a Novell
environment
ETS now has improved support for the ZENworks environment. Agents can be deployed using the Novell Server.
Improved
network consumption
Major improvements have been made to the network consumption that the agents require. The file download size is, on average, down to about one hundredth of its initial size.
Vista support is for the agent side only. Win64 is for both server and agent sides.
Language
support
Full multi-byte support so that ETS now supports any language.
Bit
torrent files are detected
Bit Torrent files are now detected as part of the P2P support.
Reports
based on category
The Reporter now shows rules triggered, by category.
Improved
installation.
The installation process has been improved. It now lets you do a lot of the configuration of Enterprise Threat Shield during the initial set up.
Improved
scheduling.
Automatic updates can now be scheduled more precisely.
Improved
writing to log file.
Log files created by Enterprise Threat Shield will be split by month to improve performance.
Permanent
purging.
Files that are required to be deleted will be purged permanently. There will be no way to recover them.
